Design for a Cause: Visual Identity for Michal Kordoš’s 7th Charity Dinner
For the seventh time, renowned Chef Michal Kordoš has linked his name with the spirit of giving. Held this time in the atmospheric industrial setting of Bratislava’s Mlynica, his traditional charity dinner once again proved that fine dining has the power to change lives for the better.
This year’s edition was dedicated to a particularly sensitive and vital cause: supporting single parents. In collaboration with the Children of Slovakia Foundation (Nadácia pre deti Slovenska), the proceeds were directed to those facing the difficult challenge of raising children alone, often while struggling with financial insecurity. While Slovakia’s culinary elite curated the gastronomic experience, the event’s powerful message also called for an equally compelling visual identity.
Our task was to create a comprehensive visual identity, a key visual, and a cohesive graphic communication system built upon our studio's signature graphic language. As part of our work and contribution to the cause, we also created a special piece of art. We produced a limited-edition print titled “Objatie” (The Embrace), serving as the visual synonym for the entire 7th annual event. “The artwork connects directly to the dinner’s main theme. We present the embrace as a universal symbol of love, affection, and, above all, the safety a parent provides to a child—regardless of whether they are a mother or a father.” This collector's item was released in an exclusive run of 25 prints in two color variations, underscoring the uniqueness of the moment and the value of solidarity.
